Getting Started with Braces
1st Appointment: Complimentary Consultation
This visit is to assess what your chief concern is regarding your teeth. At this appointment we perform a thorough examination and address what treatment options are available and if the time to start orthodontics is right. This appointment is meant to be both informative as well as an opportunity to ask questions. An estimate of treatment fees & financial options will be given at this conclusion of this appointment. Treatment fees are good for a 12 month time period.
2nd Appointment:Diagnostic Records & Exam
The next step in beginning treatment is the Diagnostic Records appointment. At this appointment we gather information that will help the doctor customize a treatment plan that will be best for the patient. The following procedures are done at the records appointment:
Pictures of the patient both smiling and in repose
Pictures of the patient's profile
Pictures of the patient's teeth
Molds of the patient's teeth
Digital x-rays specific to orthodontic treatment.
3rd Appointment: Treatment Plan Consultation & Start of Treatment:
Dr. Baros will discuss treatment options at this appointment. This consultation is meant to be informative as well as interactive. Once treatment objectives and goals have been explained and all questions answered, treatment is ready to be started.
Following appointments:
After braces have been placed appointments are scheduled on a 6-8 week interval. As a courtesy we rotate after school appointments every other appointment so that your child will only have to be taken out of school once every 3-4 months during treatment.
