
Adolescence is a great time to start the normal orthodontic braces treatment. All permanent teeth have come in – or at least most of them – by the age of 12. At this point we can start correcting gaps, crooked teeth, and misaligned bites. With growth spurts and a high metabolism, adolescence is the perfect time to work on correcting the placement of teeth in the mouth. Due to their bodies changing so quickly, treatment time can be shorter than later in life and discomfort may be less or diminish faster.
